The situation in Ukraine also makes us in the MCLINIC very concerned. Therefore, we also wanted to make a contribution and do something for the people in Ukraine who are currently affected by the war there, but also for those who have already fled from there and come to Germany
Last week, together with our partners from KVG GmbH and many colleagues, employees and relatives, we organized an aid delivery with surgical and dressing materials, medical consumables, baby food, diapers and toothbrushes, which we handed over to a representative of the Ukrainian Consulate General. The relief supplies were collected over several days in the office. A large number of the procured items came from bulk purchases from the surrounding drugstores – financed by redeeming payback points of numerous MCLINIC employees. On March 10, 2022, the donations were loaded by PD Dr. Lonic, PD Dr. Loeffelbein and many other energetic helpers and handed over to Oksana Fedak, who will continue to organize the distribution on behalf of the Ukrainian Consulate General.
In addition, our doctors Dr. Daniel Lonic, Dr. Elias Volkmer and Dr. Denys Loeffelbein have registered on the action platform “Help for Ukrainian Refugees”. This platform lists doctors and dentists who are willing to treat refugees from Ukraine free of charge. In this way, we would like to make a contribution so that Ukrainian refugees in Germany can receive medical treatment. As of February 8, 2025, PD Dr. Elias Volkmer has been granted full authorization (24 months of training time) to provide specialized training in hand surgery.
Modern technology is essential for adapting to the continuous advancements in medicine and ensuring optimal patient care. In this context, we are pleased to introduce a new portable ultrasound device, which will now be used primarily in hand surgery at MHAND.
Another step towards comprehensive digitalization at MCLINIC: From now on, appointments can be conveniently requested, rescheduled, or canceled online via our online reception. Prescriptions can be requested digitally, and our new upload function allows for easy and fast document submission.
